The EBMT is focusing on achieving a new Registry system to improve the level of science and facilitate cooperative studies and to continue serving HSCT community and improve patient care. In 2012, the EBMT launched the Registry Upgrade Project. Unfortunately, the project suffered an important setback during 2014: Remedy Informatics, Inc., the company providing technology support ceased all business operations.
In early 2016, The Board decided to initiate a project to tackle novel technical and financial challenges. This project called "project 2020" aims at developing a database for cellular therapies as well as linking clinical data to biobanking for defined subset of patients. This novel Registry system should be launched by 2020 and should benefit the various stakeholders.
We will keep you informed on a regular basis about the advancement of this important project.
