Springer Nature are pleased to mark 30 years of Bone Marrow Transplantation journal publishing. Robert Gale and John Goldman originally got together to discuss the need for a dedicated bone marrow transplantation publication:
“Where the experimental and clinical aspects of bone marrow transplantation are concerned we believe one can make a reasonable case for bringing together under a single cover the wealth of data that continues to accumulate. This much perhaps is obvious. Whether this belief is valid, only time will tell.”
Well the past 30 years have seen over 30,000 articles, commentaries, reviews and editorials published – adding vital contributions to the hematology field.
We are commemorating the anniversary by giving access to the 10 most cited Bone Marrow Transplantation articles of all time and publishing an editorial by original editor Robert Gale that looks back over the journal’s history.
